Belgian Grisette

Tasting Notes

A variety of beer originating from the border of France and Belgium, the grisette is a close relative of the Saison and Biere de garde. Unlike its cousins, which were primarily consumed by farmworkers, the grisette was most popular among miners.

Our version of the beer has a touch of pepper on the nose followed by characteristic floral, herbal and spice that you typically find in Belgian ales. We added caramel rye malt to enhance the spice found in the peppercorns and yeast. Candied ginger compliments the Sorachi Ace hops and adds a sweet layer and balance.
