Delaplane was formed by Brian Caperton and Stewart Muztafago in the winter of 2014. Brian and Stew grew up in Warrenton, Virginia, where they began playing music together in middle school. Delaplane influences can be heard in band covers of such artists as Nick Drake, The Beatles, Neil Young, Bon Iver. and Radiohead.
Their passion, however, lies in creating original sound based on their own song-craft, blending folk, jazz, and rock styles. The band's sound--big or intimate, upbeat or slowed-down, reflects tight arrangements and harmonies....and a true love of music.
